Cedric Maxwell

Mr Cedric Maxwell is an accomplished insurance risk management professional with more than 15 years of experience across the spectrum of non-life and life (re)insurance lines of business.

Cedric joined Continental Re on 1 November 2021, and is the Group Chief Risk Officer at the Head Office in Lagos, Nigeria, from where he leads the group’s risk management activities.

Prior to joining Continental Re, he gained an international experience from reputable organizations including KPMG, Aon and Milliman, in Canada, and France.

Cedric is a Fellow of the French Institute of Actuaries, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) and Affiliate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He holds a post-graduate degree from the Institut de Science Financière et d’Assurances and is bilingual in English and French.
