Mr. Chukwuemeka Akwiwu

Chukwuemeka Akwiwu (Emeka) is a Non- Executive Director of Continental Reinsurance Limited. He is the Group Executive Director at Continental Reinsurance, a leading private pan-African composite reinsurer with offices in Lagos, Douala, Nairobi, Abidjan, Tunis, and Gaborone. With over two decades of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, he has been instrumental in driving strategic growth and operational excellence across diverse markets. Before joining Continental Re in 2021, Emeka held senior managerial roles at Gen Re, gaining extensive industry experience across Europe and South Africa.

He is an alumni of the Lagos Business School Advanced Management Program, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Public Administration from Abia State University, Nigeria, and a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
