Mr. Segun Adebanji

Mr. Segun Adebanji, our new Chairman, is a highly accomplished finance professional. He obtained his Ordinary National Diploma in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology in 1973 and completed the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants’ examinations in June 1975. He is a Fellow of both the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).

Mr. Adebanji’s extensive career began at UAC of Nigeria in 1976, followed by various roles within the UAC Group and a secondment to Unilever Plc in London. He later served as Audit Manager for Unilever South Africa with sub-regional responsibilities. He returned to Nigeria as the Financial Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc and was subsequently seconded to Heineken International in the Netherlands as Group Treasurer. He also held Managing Director positions at Ghana Breweries Ltd and Namibia Breweries Ltd for Heineken. After retiring from the Heineken Group, he worked as a Financial Consultant and later joined African Capital Alliance as a Principal, retiring in 2019. Mr. Adebanji currently serves as a Non-Executive Director for Daraju Industries Ltd and ARM Holdings Ltd, and as Chairman for Cornerstone Insurance Plc and Filmhouse Group Ltd.
