Continental Reinsurance Plc Appoints Thierry Ravoaja as Chief Underwriting Officer for Treaty and Retrocession

 

 

 

 

Continental Reinsurance Plc is delighted to announce the newest addition to its leadership team, as Thierry Ravoaja takes on the role of Chief Underwriting Officer – Treaty and Retrocession.

Thierry brings with him a wealth of experience, having earned his Bachelor of Assurance degree from Ecole Supérieure d’Assurances, Paris – France in 2001, and a Masters in Reinsurance from the Reinsurance Institute (Ecole Nationale d’Assurances), Paris – France in 2002.

With a professional journey spanning over two decades, Thierry has held significant roles, including Vice President – Treaties Africa and Indian Sub-continent at CCR Re France from 2019 to 2023, Regional Director of West Africa & International Business at Zep Re, Kenya from 2014 to 2019, and Head of African Office at ARIG from 2007 to 2014.  Furthermore, he contributed as a Board Member at Waica Re from 2015 to 2019.

Thierry’s diverse expertise and extensive industry knowledge make him a valuable asset to Continental Reinsurance Plc.  His appointment reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team with seasoned professionals, ensuring continued excellence in the field of Treaty and Retrocession underwriting.
