Ms. Adeolu Adewumi-Zer is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Continental Reinsurance Limited. She is a seasoned global strategist and passionate Afro-optimist, Ms. Adeolu Adewumi-Zer is the internationally best-selling author of Afro-Optimism Unleashed. With over 25 years of experience across four continents, her career includes an impactful tenure as the CEO of Allianz Nigeria. She now leverages this extensive expertise as the Founder and CEO of ZER Consulting Africa, a purpose-driven Pan-African strategy and management consulting firm focused on empowering African businesses and leaders through leadership development, strategic planning, and operational optimization.
A trusted advisor, Ms. Adewumi-Zer champions critical causes such as financial inclusion, gender equality, and quality education. Her significant influence in the corporate world is underscored by her recognition as one of the Top 100 Women Impacting Africa in 2023 and for the East Africa Deal of the Year in 2020. In addition to her board service, she is the CEO of Shared Value Nigeria and holds influential board and advisory roles with organizations like the Lagos Angel Network and the Global Center on Cooperative Security.
Ms. Adewumi-Zer holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Actuarial Science and Mathematics. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a senior member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, and a member of the Society of Corporate Governance Nigeria.
