Cynthia Mbula Kyaka

Cynthia Mbula Kyaka is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Certified Secretary, Certified Governance Auditor, and Data Protection Professional with over 15 years of experience in corporate governance, legal advisory, compliance, and risk management. She has served in senior leadership roles across financial services, insurance, FMCG, and international organizations, with a strong track record in board advisory, governance audits, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

She has previously worked as an in-house counsel and company secretary across diverse sectors, including FMCGs, international organizations, financial institutions, and the public sector including CPF Financial Services Ltd, Chase Bank (Kenya) Ltd, ILRI, and BAT Kenya, and sits on advisory and professional committees with the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries.  She started off her legal career at Iseme Kamau & Maema Advocates ( a member of the DLA Piper).

Cynthia holds an Executive MBA from Strathmore University Business School, a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Moi University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, and is a Certified Public Secretary (CPSK). She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries.
