Barack Obatsa is a Non-Executive Director of Continental Reinsurance Limited. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Britam Asset Managers, bringing in over 18 years of leadership and expertise in the investment industry. He has previously served as Chief Investment Officer at ICEA LION Asset Management and as Regional Chief Investment Officer at Africa Alliance Bank, where he built a strong track record in driving growth and delivering value for clients and stakeholders.
Barrack holds a BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology, an MSc in Finance (Economic Policy) from the University of London, and an MSc in Real Estate (Investment and Finance) from the University of Reading. Professionally, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Banker, and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and is an active member of the CFA Institute, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and other professional bodies.
Beyond his technical expertise, Barrack is also a Certified Engagement and Productivity Coach (CEPC), reflecting his passion for developing people and fostering high performance teams. He is recognized for his strategic insight, integrity, and commitment to building sustainable value in the financial services sector.
