Dr Joe Muchekehu

FCPA Dr(HC) Joe Muchekehu is a Non-Executive Director of Continental Reinsurance Limited Non-Executive Director. He Muchekehu has over 40 years’ experience in Accounting, Auditing, Consulting and Financial Management and has been instrumental in the development of the Accountancy Profession in East Africa having served as a past chairperson of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (ICPAK) council and the founding chairperson and Trustee of KCA University. He has also served in IFAC Ethics Committee and as a First Country representative on the International Assembly of Chartered Certified Accountants.

He is Fellow of Chartered and Certified Accountants (UK), Certified Public Secretary of Kenya, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He holds an undergraduate degree from the London School of Accountancy and a degree from the Theology Talbot School of Theology- Biola University.

He has served as a director in various companies including Total Kenya PLC, Britam General Insurance Kenya, Britam Asset Managers Limited, Royal Ngao Co Limited, Mureka Investment Co Limited . In addition, he serves as Chairperson of Muchekehu Holdings Limited and Muchekehu Consulting Group, Briam Insurance South Sudan, and Scott Christian University Council (retired in April 2024).

Beyond his corporate achievements, he is the founder of Building men for Christ ministry and the author of “walking on the Edge.”
