Mr. James Shiganga

Mr. James Shiganga is the Chairman the Board of Continental Reinsurance Limited. He is an entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience across key emerging markets in Africa. He has demonstrated strong leadership in effectively steering multinational subsidiaries and entrepreneurial ventures through periods of significant and transformative growth. Mr. Shiganga previously held positions as a senior executive at PwC and as regional CEO of Lafarge SA, where he oversaw the company’s manufacturing operations in sub-Saharan Africa, expanding from one country to ten. Additionally, he has served on the boards of several listed manufacturing companies as well as a public entity in the energy sector, contributing to strategic oversight and effective governance. He holds a BSc in Mathematics, an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and is a certified public accountant.
