Continental Reinsurance develops solutions that support our clients along different sectors: fire & engineer, general accident, life, energy, marine & aviation and motor & liability.
As part of its strategic plans, Continental Reinsurance established another subsidiary, Continental Property and Engineering Risk Services (CPERS) Limited in South Africa in 2015. The new subsidiary essentially operates as a technical ‘referral’ competence within Continental Reinsurance.
CPERS was primarily established to meet the growing demand for specialist engineering insurance risk advisory services that is currently driven by Africa’s above-average growth rates in infrastructure investment and construction development.
Core functions of CPERS are:
- underwriting (rates, terms, guidelines and wordings)
- risk surveys
- claims handling
- training to the insurance sector
